Count me among color consultants who boast, “I never met a color I didn’t love!” And I don’t believe there are any colors that DON’T go together. All it takes is a great fabric, piece of art, or beautiful area rug to pull unlikely color combos together.
My second color philosophy (and my clients hear it A LOT!) is that we are talking about YOUR space and YOU get to decide what color it should be. I am just here to educate, facilitate, introduce, help you be fearless, help you understand your own feelings about color and the color needs for your space. But in the end, it is you who will decide. But don’t worry, I won’t let you make a mistake--I want you to be happy!
About MeMelissa is a principal color consultant for a leading firm and has worked actively in the Seattle area for over 15 years, lending her color expertise to builders, HOAs, residents, property managers, real estate agents, graphic artists, and businesses. She is also a trained image color consultant and serves on the Advisory Council to the Fashion Merchandising Department of a local college.
She was the lead project consultant for Leatrice Eiseman, contributing to the PantoneView Fashion, Home, and Interiors trend forecast as a photographer and palette color specifier; she was contributing editor to The Complete Color Harmony: Pantone® Edition by Leatrice Eiseman; and travels to the design capitals of Milan and Paris annually as a color trend “spotter”. Melissa has done talks on color in the US and devised color presentations for Ms. Eiseman that were seen around the globe.

It is always best for a color consultant to see the site and observe the light to determine the best colors to use. But in this digital age, we are finding ways to help clients be confident in designing their spaces by asking the right questions, viewing photos of the space, and learning about your needs and aspirations
